Fame/Shame

This is the weekly post where I pick a "winner/loser" of the week. Some weeks you will get both. Other weeks it could be all winners and no losers or vice versa. This week it is winners.

1. John Pelfrey - Head Coach, Arkansas Razorbacks; Coach made some difficult decisions early in the season to get player's attention. He held to his principles and lost games they would win today. As a result of those difficult decisions the Hogs are in first place of the SEC Western Division. Their overall record is not stellar. The coach should be lauded daily for his efforts and concerns for the well being of his players then his program. It is working.

2. New Orleans Saints - NFL World Champions;  The team was prepared; the coach had guts; the quarterback played to his potential and the defense held the Colts to 7 points in 3 quarters. That is a formula for winning. Criticism of Manning is wrong. His throw sealed a loss that was coming all along. The defense played a complete game; adjusted correctly and showed no fear. Give it to the team and let Manning go back to work. The Colts defense failed to adjust and gave up a bunch of points.

Fame week all around. Next week we will have some shame I promise. I want to give a shame call out to the Little Rock weather teams for missing the big snow for hours. However, my girls loved it so much that shame cannot come of it.
